Spine Tingling

Skeletons
Witches
Vampires
Oh My!
What better way to raise the Halloween spirits than by a little mood reading in October?

Wholesome. A refreshing change of pace from the surfeit of teen and tween books featuring paranormal or dysfunctional characters. Jenny is no Pollyanna though. She is a real girl trying to discover and stay true to herself as she navigates high school, dating and real life.
Note: I was given the opportunity to read this book for free on exchange for my fair and honest review.

  1. I was scared as I left your Library world and ventured to the cyberworld of amazon to read summaries of the books pictured above. Was surprised to see Alan Bradley, author of 'Speaking from Among the Bones' has won so many awards! This book is said to be 'one of the most remarkable creations in recent literature!.” While this genre is not a favorite of mine, I have already downloaded a 'sample' of it onto my kindle. 'remarkable creation' is nothing to take lightly.
What a nice exchange...read a book for the price of an honest review! Wonder where else that type of exchange could be used in today's world!

  2. Flavia De Luce is my hero. Alan Bradley is an amazing author. It's actually a mystery series and the heroine (Flavia) is an 11 year old girl.

The middle book I got at the Border's close out, have not read yet but this might be a good time.

The last book is a self-published vampire tale. The book was found in my step dad's things. No idea who the author actually is. I think the touch of mystery will add to the excitement of reading it.
